Entropy System viewer welcome thread + thoughts on self-diagnosis.
Hi Entropy System viewers, we’re glad you decided to stop by our little corner of the ‘net. If you are a legal adult who deals with dissociation or are an ally of those that do, you are welcome here.
While we don’t encourage or recommend self-diagnosis, we understand that in the real world it’s sometimes necessary. Know that we don’t diagnose here, either positively (you have DID) or negatively (you don’t have DID). It is perfectly OK to not be sure. You are welcome here with or without a formal diagnosis. All we ask is that you be honest about where you are on your journey.
You’ll notice that on our Discord, members are just members. It doesn’t matter if a member is a system or not, or if they have a diagnosis. There is no “dissociative hierarchy” here. Being a member just means that you’ve talked with us enough that we realized you’re not a total ass. 🙂
Feel free to post a blog entry, or write in the forums or on DissociaBook, whether or not you are a system.
Do you only deal with depersonalization and nothing else? No problem, we have a few DPDR folk here as well. Have a friend or loved one that has DID? Great, we’re glad you’re here, and would love to hear your perspective. Are you a professional? You’re welcome here too.
Are you a MMO Gold Spammer? For god’s sake, WHY do you keep coming here? <laugh> What is it about dissociation that makes in-game gold sellers think “oh hey, target audience”? There are some mysteries that may never be solved.
Seriously, make yourself at home. As long as you are excellent to one another, you are welcome here. Are you afraid you’ll be kicked out of the club if it turns out you don’t have a dissociative disorder? Don’t worry, you can still be an ally, and still hang out with us.
