“My older brother can beat you up!”

This morning as I woke, I heard a ten-year-old boy arguing with someone I could not identify. He was saying that he could get his older brother to come beat the other person in a fight. The other person argued that the kid’s older brother shares the same body, and would therefore not be any tougher than the kid. The kid argued back that his older brother was not part of the system.

The impudent boy seemed indifferent to the fact that he was edging closer and closer to the front. I reacted by pushing him away and playing music to strengthen my own front.

I have to wonder: who was this kid? We don’t have a history of having a 10-year-old boy in our system. I almost wish I had allowed his front so that we could have learned more, but I have far too many alters to keep track of as it is.
